Controlled text only means something if you can see the control. So we print it — the sounds taught, the heart words, the character names — and then a separate checker re-reads the finished PDF and blocks the file if any of it is untrue.

The scope is printed, not promised
Sounds, heart words and character names appear on the page, in the same place every time.
The key is generated, not typed
Answers come out of the same source as the questions, so nobody re-types a key late at night — which is where key errors come from.
The finished file is re-read
A checker reads the printed PDF page by page and answer by answer, and stops the release if a page and its key disagree.
Every math item is solved twice
Once at generation, once independently from the printed page, including arrays, charts and expanded forms.
Words are compared across the shop
Buying two of our sets does not get you the same word list twice.
Content is screened for age
Passages are read for anything a K–5 child should not be handed. It is a real editing stage, not a claim.

About standards
Each listing states the skill in plain words and names the standards it was checked against on the listing itself. We do not paste code lists we have not verified word for word — a wrong code on a cover page is worse than no code at all. Send us your state standard in the Q&A and we will tell you which pages match, or say honestly that they do not.
Questions about the checking
Who does the checking?
A mix of generated checks and people. The scope, keys and math are verified by machine against the printed PDF; the passages are read by a teacher on the team before release.
What happens if I find a mistake?
Tell us in the Q&A on the listing. The fix goes into the file you already own — no repurchase and no new version to hunt for.
Do you publish the sequence you follow?
Yes, in order, on this page. That is the point: you can check a set against your own school sequence before buying it.
