Honest limits
Three things about Easel worth knowing before you plan a lesson around it.
No voice recording
Students cannot record themselves reading aloud in Easel, so reading sets keep a paper teacher-listening sheet for that part.
Google Classroom is the native LMS
Everything else works by pasting the share link — it works, it is just a link rather than a handoff.
Name-only links are single-session
The no-login route is easiest for K–2, but work started that way has to be finished in one sitting.

Do students need accounts?
No. You can share a link where a student types only their first name — no email and no Google account. Work started that way has to be finished in one sitting.
